US CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENST ONLY This position is a key member of the Engineering Team in San Jose, responsible for leading and managing hybrid DC/DC product development and R&D Engineering activities.

What you will be doing.

  • Plan and manage resources allocation for multiple R&D Engineering projects.
  • Lead and manage hybrid DC/DC products development and R&D Engineering activities including Component Engineering and Test Engineering in a fast paced product growth environment.
  • Establish and monitor department budgets.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop solutions.
  • Evaluate customer requirements, provide technical design solutions.
  • Responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as circuit design, modification, experimental design or specialized test equipment. Applications include analog and digital circuits.
  • Institute, improve and maintain design guidelines, design tools, design processes and work flow.

What you need to work here.

  • BSEE required. MSEE is highly preferred.
  • 15+ years’ experience in electronics product design and management of multiple teams across multiple site locations
  • Experienced providing leadership to engineering staff.
  • Familiar with concepts such as Worst Case Analysis, Stress Analysis, Thermal and Thermal-Mechanical Analysis, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
  • Knowledge and working experience with Mil-Prf-38534 and other Standards for applications in Space and High Temperature power hybrid DC/DC converters.
  • Experienced with circuit design, component and process developments for power hybrid DC/DC converters.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, team building, leadership and communications skills.
  • Proven skills in budgeting, planning, and resources allocations.
